Shrugging off the dead.

This is exactly the kind of snarky, smartass remark that Putz wouldn't make if his son or daughter -- or anyone in his family at all -- was killed in Iraq.
SOME GRIM MILESTONES are observed: "On a related note, at the current rate the US military death toll will surpass that of the 1.5-year long Mexican War (13283) in another 10 or 12 years or so."
Great historical perspective check. I'm sure Americans everywhere would all feel better about the disaster in Iraq, if only they knew that more died in a 19th-century war with Mexico. And all anyone can talk about is how the war in Iraq has lasted longer than World War Two. Morons.

My biggest complaint - Putz does not WRITE. Glenn Greenwald writes paragraph after paragraph of very good analysis. Then Putz writes his typical short sentence (Heh, indeed"). For example, calling Greenwald "lame". Can't he (Putz) write? Sadly, no.
