A small victory.

In our last post last night, we challenged the Putz to post a correction about those inaccurate Iraqi casualty numbers he was boasting about. Incredibly, in his first post of the day this morning, he did.
VIOLENT DEATHS IN IRAQ FOR AUGUST revised upward sharply. Huh. I don't know what could account for this discrepancy.
There is no apology to the press, which he reflexively, mindlessly battered in his original, smug post. But this is real, if not small, progress.

This blog was launched in an effort to keep Putz accountable--especially since he doesn't allow comments--to refute the endless stream of distortions he posts on a daily basis. Facts are facts, and far too often on the right these days, they're discarded in favor of truthiness.

We'll take it.

UPDATE:
We couldn't help but notice that a vistor from Knoxville, TN read the blog last night after 11Pm, and located our post asking Putz to post a correction on Technorati. Then this morning, before 7AM, Putz posted his correction using the same link to the ABC News blog we posted.

Mere coincidence, or is Putz an Instaputz reader? Stay tuned...

Putzy might credit the dramatic rise in the death toll to, um, a thousand more people dying than was previously climed.

Just a suggestion...

Do you notice the implicit dig at the media even in his retraction: "Huh. I don't know what could account for this discrepancy." ?? Am I paranoid, or do I suspect that what he's really saying is, "the liberal media made me post inaccurately on August casualties"?

He's such a fraud.
