Yes, Diane Feinstein blew it.

I agree that Ted Cruz got the best of this exchange. All Feinstein had to do, and she didn't do, was throw Scalia in his face, and remind him that the 2nd Amendment isn't absolute.
[United States v.] Miller’s holding that the sorts of weapons protected are those “in common use at the time” finds support in the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of dangerous and unusual weapons.
A quick, condescending dismissal is what was required.

Fuck Ted Cruz up and down the block for what he said though. Fuck his bullshit equivalencies and his Tea Party overlords. Just to hell with the whole idea that she should have to put him in his place to begin with.
