Interesting! Didn't know that one.
Mossadegh was democratically elected and secular.
But we got rid of him because we and the Brits wanted cheap oil, so we ousted Mossadegh and replaced him with a brutal dictator, which sowed the seeds of the revolution.
They had a democracy and we smashed it up, then pretended we didn't cause it.
I can't think why the Iranians would resent us...its such a mystery!
