Everything's to blame but the assault rifle.

Meet South Carolina's new Senator.

Republican Rep. Tim Scott of South Carolina, the new appointee to replace Sen. Jim DeMint, indicated Wednesday he may oppose any gun control legislation in the Senate next Congress, saying instead the larger issue is one of "moral decay."
"I think the solutions are not necessarily in new legislation. Perhaps the solution starts with us examining the mental condition of the person and the persons in the past that have had the desire to create the atrocities we have seen recently," he said on CNN's "Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien."
Uh, what?

If these idiots want to blame video games/YouTube/the Internet/no Jesus in the classroom/nebulous "moral decay" or whatever for these massacres, they're welcome to their opinion. We can have that long-term discussion.

But wouldn't it make sense now to, you know, keep the disturbed from getting assault rifles so easily? Perhaps as just merely a stopgap measure while we have our Big National Debate About How The Gays Caused This? Maybe? Maybe kinda sorta?

(Additionally, we'll note here that the rest of the evil socialist/Marxist/secular/faggy Western world doesn't have these massacres on a weekly basis for some reason....gosh, have no idea what it is...)

Why, you'd never know from listening to these august gawd fearin' men that America has 300,000,000 firearms. Surely, a massive number of guns could not possibly be the cause of the massive amount of gun violence.

Let's talk about the moral decay of people like Tim Scott who believe innocent deaths on a regular basis, are an acceptable price to pay for the unfettered access to killing machines. WWWJU (Which Weapon Would Jesus Use).

What if every guy with an assault style weapon had to have his actual penis size tattooed on his forearm?

Putz would disarm overnight.

Nancy Lanza was considering travelling to a foreign country. Had she travelled to London or Australia, she would have had to have left her guns behind, and thus Adam Lanza would never have had access to such lethal weapons, and might also have got the mental healthcare he needed, and above all the children, the teachers, and Nancy Lanza would all still be alive.

The kind of acts perpetrated by Lanza, Loughner, etc, are simply not possible, or at the least extremely difficult to initiate, in the UK and Europe.

And you know what, people in those countries are very much free.

Does he mean Dick Cheney? John Yoo? Donald Rumsfeld? Paul Wolfowitz?

I have a long list of depraved fuckers that have had the desire to create atrocities we have seen recently, so if that's who he means, I agree.

Oh, there's some moral decay, all right. He's just pointing the finger in the wrong direction.
