I remember when I was a sophomore in high school, a quarter pounder with cheese, large fry and medium drink was exactly $3.50, including tax.
It's about the same, today -- but it should be around $7.20 when you adjust for inflation. This is clearly the result of a fairly messed up food policies/farm bills/companies like McDonald's lobbying.
Anyway, with health costs rising like they are, we just can't afford fast food this cheap.

I think it's about 7 bucks for a big mac combo here in Los Angeles.
Is the price on a combo in the USA related in any way to the minimum wage in a particular state?
The cheapness of all fast food prices in America relative to Australia shocked me, but so did the low wages in that industry.
