A few of my fellow pinko liberal modern political scientist colleagues have written an interesting editorial on the midterm elections. Sabato tends to lean to the right, for the record. It echoes a point we at Instaputz have been making for a while now: the data simply don't support the claims about an impending GOP revolution in November. The numbers being cited to fuel those predictions (discontent with the direction of the country, disapproval of Congress, etc.) are essentially par for the course in American politics.
