National Review's Attempt to Distance Themselves from Birthers Fails, Hilariously.

Buckley (left) and McCarthy (right)

Two days ago, The National Review, conservatism's flagship publication, ran an editorial in which they said, rather unequivocally, that Barack Obama was "born in the U.S.A."

Yes, well, a mere 48 hours later, crazy person Andy McCarthy (big macher Senior Fellow of something called "National Review Institute") has written a 3,730 word article on Obama's birth certificate!

One might say, were one feeling particularly expansive, that Grand Inquisitor McCarthy stands athwart Buckley's decaying reputation yelling "POOP!"

Anyway, how awesome is this article? So awesome that McCarthy actually uses Larry Sex Tape Johnson as a source, in the penultimate paragraph -- and does not, somehow, make fun of Larry's haircut.

I poop you not.
