Last year, Michael Fumento put forth the novel argument that movie terrorists aren't dark enough!!!!1111! (Add ones and exclamation points as needed.) World-O-Crap expertly sliced and diced Monsanto's puppet, which resulted in Fumento himself showing up in comments to declare, "This accusation represents the combined intelligence of the original blogger and his idiot acolytes. I’ll bet you all split a gut laughing when those Twin Towers fell."
Heh!
All of which is to say that The Atlantic has gussied up Fumento's thesis, given it a pretentious title, and stuck Ross Routhat's byline beneath it. (Putz approves!)
If I had a subscription, this would be the time to cancel it.
