Global warming concern trolling.

Give me a freaking break.
As I've noted before, I think we should be trying to minimize our burning of fossil fuels for lots of other reasons. But it does suggest that people should be wary of getting too far ahead of the science...overselling global warming could lead to a backlash in which efforts to reduce pollution lose credibility, which would be bad as we should be reducing pollution regardless of global warming.
And what exactly are your credentials for warning people about "getting too far ahead of the science," Putz? Consistently posting snarky, skeptical comments about warming? Calling every Democrat who's ever spoken out on global warming hypocrites? Writing articles for and linking to the ExxonMobil-funded TCS Daily? Linking to crackpot warming skeptics who have zero academic credibility?

Here's what actual experts are saying.
The world's largest general scientific society on Sunday joined the concern over global climate change, calling it a "growing threat to society."
Gee, I just hope they don't get too far ahead of themselves.

UPDATE

Tristram Shandy writes,
There's a pattern here worth mentioning.

This...
But it does suggest that people should be wary of getting too far ahead of the science...overselling global warming could lead to a backlash in which efforts to reduce pollution lose credibility, which would be bad as we should be reducing pollution regardless of global warming.
...is no different than this....
But I think the effort to turn this into an anti-Bush political issue is a serious mistake, and the most likely outcome will be, in essence, the ratification of torture (with today's hype becoming tomorrow's reality) and a political defeat for the Democrats.
The commonality, of course, is that the issue shouldn't be discussed...
Indeed.
