The high moral standards of political operatives.

I thought Putz had pretty much given up his "how uncivil and mean those lefty bloggers are" meme. Guess not, because he's piling on the phony outrage and concern trolling over John Edwards' hiring Amanda Marcotte, who's very mean and shrill.
There's nothing really wrong with cursing or overwrought blogging in itself, but the standards for political operatives are different... political operatives have had to be careful about their behavior; this applies to bloggers who want to do that, too.
So true, because, when you think of "political operatives" you immediately think "civility," "high standards," and "careful about their behavior."

Some examples:

John McCain's "fag army." And his "black child."
Ann Richards' lesbianism.
Outing a CIA agent.
Planting a bug in your own office.
Claiming the Democrats are going to ban the bible.
Illegally jamming phones.
Willie Horton.
Dirty tricks.

Seriously, Putz. Go ahead and write about how shrill and mean and unsuitable those mean lefty bloggers are. We've come to expect that kind of hypocrisy from you.

But when you do so in the name of the high standards of political operatives, it's just too much.

PS.
