If the new plan demonstrably fails over the next six months or so, we can always then retreat. We will have lost very little. Unless I'm missing something, the worst the surge can do is cost a few incremental casualties and some additional money, in both cases a small addition to the sunk costs.Yeah, really. What's a few more dead Americans?
I really wish these people who move our men and women around like pieces on a Risk board would STFU and get their asses over to Iraq.

Word, we especially need to recruit College Republicans to enlist. I'm concerned they will miss their chance to take part in the decisive battle of our generation and save the world from the islamic fascists. Since they really do believe this is world war 3, and iraq is a vital part of the global war, the only reason they aren't enlisting must be because they don't have access to recruiting facilities.
I'm going to fix the problem by posting recruitment literature around my campus, particularly around the conservative student run newspaper and YAF offices. Imagine their gratitude!
Blue Texan. Thank you so much for this blog. The mere mention of the smarmy, smug Glen Reynolds just makes my blood boil. This guy is so delusional its pathetic. In another time he just would have been another village idiot crank running his mouth off at a local tavern to his toadies but being in the right place at the right time he took the big megaphone of the internet and ran with it.
I just can't believe how many people still read this guy and take what he writes seriously. Thanks again for the great work you do here.
John D., thanks much for the kind words. I'm always grateful to get a comment like that, and am glad that you found and appreciate the blog.
Tell 3 of your friends about us!
