Foleygate and the Democrats.

We were wondering how long it would take Putz to use Foleygate to attack Democrats. Answer: not long.

MICHAEL PETRELIS says that the Human Rights Campaign needs to speak out on Foley:

No one has been shocked!, shocked! to find the gay wing of the Democratic National Committee, the Human Rights Campaign silent on the Foley scandal. HRC is just too squeamish to figure out something, ANYTHING, of substance to say about the ex-congressman, now in rehab.

That would be false. And stop shouting.

Joe Solmonese, President of the Human Rights Campaign has issued a statement regarding the resignation of Rep. Mark Foley last week. Foley resigned in the wake of a scandal prompted by e-mails and instant message communication between Foley and underage boys.

“Gay or straight, Democrat or Republican, it is completely inexcusable for an adult to have this kind of communication with a minor," Solmonese said of the emails and chats released by ABC News. "Congressman Foley brought shame on himself and this Congress by his horrible behavior and complete lack of judgment. We strongly condemn his behavior.”

UPDATE:

It's gotten worse. Putz has updated this, and now links to Gateway Pundit, who claims "radical gay activists" (including John Aravosis of Americablog) have created Foleygate "to bring down the Republican Party."

Putz's buddy Gateway joins the drug-addicted, Viagra-popping draft-dodger, who today also accused the Democrats of "setting up" Foley.
On the October 2 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh suggested that the recent resignation of former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), which came after allegations that Foley sent inappropriate emails to a 16-year-old male congressional page, was a "set ... up" "coordinated" by the Democrats. Limbaugh also stated that "the orgy and the orgasm that has been taking place in the media since Friday and with the Democrats is ... all coordinated, and it's ... all oriented toward the election." He added, "There's no concern about the kid," and blamed Democrats, because "[i]n their hearts and minds and their crotches, they don't have any problem with what Foley did. They've defended it over ... the years."
These people are quite deranged.

UPDATE 2

Denny Hastert picks up the blame-the-Democrats meme. Astonishing.

UPDATE 3

They're all doing it now. Putz's BFF Hugh Hewitt adds to the chorus. It's official. The GOP's response to Foleygate over the next few days will be to blame the Democrats and the media.

More to the point, I fail to see how Foleygate has anything to do with homosexuality at all. It has everything to do with solicitation of minors. Why should the HRC have any response at all? Are they responsible for the actions of every homosexual? Would the HRC have to issue a response if, say, Foley had committed a bank robbery?

The Gateway Pundit post is one of the dumbest things I have ever read. He accuses bloggers of "holding onto information" by providing links to the months-old posts where the bloggers published this information. Only in the upside-down world of these lunatics does publishing something constitute holding onto it.

They're much more deranged than you think. Here's what Rush said yesterday with regards to Democrats and Foley:

“There are things that will offend liberals. Or are there? Because I continue to ask, are they really offended by this? How many of them wish they were in on the action?

He is truly sick.

Oops. . .

Brian Ross in NYT:

“I hate to give up sources, but to the extent that I know the political parties of any of the people who helped us, it would be the same party,” Mr. Ross said, referring to Republicans.
