WSJ spin at its finest.

Just an amazing passage.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne, will host a July fund-raiser for Mitt Romney at their home in Jackson Hole, Wyo., according to a save-the-date e-mail from the Romney campaign.
The event will help the likely Republican nominee tap any donors to former President George W. Bush who remain on the sidelines, while fueling Democratic efforts to tie Mr. Romney to President Barack Obama‘s predecessor.
Mr. Cheney remains a polarizing figure for his outspoken belief in a robust American military presence abroad, his support for sweeping executive powers and his unapologetic advocacy of harsh interrogation methods, such as simulated drowning.
1. Cheney isn't "polarizing" -- he left office once of the least popular political figures in US history.

2. He's not hugely unpopular for his "support for sweeping executive powers" -- he's hugely unpopular because the Bush administration lost two wars, let a US city drown and presided over the worst economic crash since the Great Depression.

3. "Harsh interrogation methods, such as simulated drowning" is called "torture."

Whatever Murdoch is paying Patrick O'Connor, the hack who wrote this, isn't enough.
