Kay Graham Would Not Be Pleased.

A while back, Sally Quinn made the Catholic League's Bill Donohue very angry . Was Donohue's "On Faith" piece yesterday -- in which he blamed homosexuals and atheists for the fall of western civilization -- part of a kiss-and-make-up quid pro quo?

I really hope so, because otherwise I might just question the Post's editorial judgment, which is historically impeccable.

Here, friends, are a few sentences The Washington Post has seen fit to legitimize:

-- "Sexual libertines, from the Marquis de Sade to radical gay activists, have sought to pervert society by acting out on their own perversions. What motivates them most of all is a pathological hatred of Christianity."

-- "From banning nativity scenes to punishing little kids for painting a picture of Jesus, the zealots [the ACLU] give Fidel a good run for his money."

-- "Catholics were once the mainstay of the Democratic Party; now the gay activists are in charge."

-- "The culture war is up for grabs. The good news is that religious conservatives continue to breed like rabbits, while secular saboteurs have shut down: they're too busy walking their dogs, going to bathhouses and aborting their kids."

Feel free to write Jon Meacham, one of folks responsible for the section, here. Be nice.

Or not.
