Ann Coulter, who Doesn't Speak for Republicans.

On Faux News:

GIBSON: This whole thing starts with Media Matters taking Rush Limbaugh out of context, as you well know.

COULTER: Well, if we could get to how we take him out of context, I don't even understand what point they're making. Although overwhelmingly the military is Republican, certainly active military and those statistics are in my new book. As well as veterans overwhelmingly Republican but I am sure Rush knows that there are some members of the military who vote Democrat.

Once again -- Kerry received over 40% of the military vote in 2004. That's up from Gore's performance in the teens in 2000. What happened between 2000 and 2004, to account for a 300% increase in the military vote going to the Democrats?

And then there's Democratic disparity (14-2?) between Iraq/Afghanistan veterans running in '06. I'm too lazy to look it up, but it's at least that.

If these trends continue, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Democrats get half of the military vote in '08. It certainly wouldn't be an unreasonable outcome, given the trends.

I don't think Coultergeist knows what "overwhelmingly" means.
