Glenn Reynolds, concern troll.

Putz links to a deeply silly AP piece on how the Democratic candidates are blowing off the DLC conference and adds, sarcastically,
Well, when has the DLC ever produced a successful Democratic Presidency? Heh.
That's the only thing the DLC ever produced. How about the Democratic losses in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004?

It's simple: you can't be a "third way" or "centrist" when the other side has totally obliterated the scale. What is the "third way" when one side wants to end public education? What is the "centrist" position on Iraq? The reality is, the DLC was lousy for the Democratic Party and good for Clinton.

When Democrats screw over poor people and the middle class by signing on to really bad legislation like the bankruptcy bill, Democrats lose. People like Obama and Dean figured that out.

Hey, Putz: how many of the new Democrats who were elected in 2006 were DLCers?
