Putz and the Gitmo decision.

Uh-oh.
The US government disagreed today with military judges who threw out charges against two Guantanamo Bay detainees in a stunning reversal on the legal front of its 'war on terror.'

Yesterday's surprise rulings on Toronto native Omar Ahmed Khadr, 20, and Osama bin Laden's ex-driver Salim Ahmed Hamdan threatened to torpedo the government's pursuit of Guantanamo Bay terror suspects through new-look military tribunals.

In both cases, the judges found that they had no jurisdiction to proceed with military commission trials, as neither Khadr nor Hamdan had been classified as an 'unlawful enemy combatant' as required by a recent US law.

Sneered Putz the law professor:
This war has been over-lawyered, which is not to say that it has been well-lawyered.
Translation: these highly annoying "laws" are really getting in the way of America kicking ass.
