Republicans and Putz: for nonbinding resolutions before they were against them.

This is officially getting ridiculous. I noted John Bohener's flip-flops on nonbinding resolutions here. Now I see, via Putz, that it's Rudy's turn.
GIULIANI: The nonbinding resolution thing gets me more than are you for it or against it. I have tremendous respect for the people who feel that we either made a mistake going to war...who now have come to the conclusion, changed their minds, they have every right to that...What I don’t like is the idea of a nonbinding resolution.

KING: Because?

GIULIANI: Because there’s no decision.

Where was Giuliani when the Republicans were ramming this through last June?
In a 256-153 vote that mirrored the position taken by the Senate earlier, the GOP-led House approved a nonbinding resolution that praises U.S. troops, labels the Iraq war part of the larger global fight against terrorism and says an "arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment" of troops is not in the national interest.
And -- surprise! Putz himself was downright giddy at the thought of Karl Rove sticking it to the Democrats with a nonbinding resolution on Iraq.

THE JAWS OF KARL ROVE'S TRAP TIGHTEN:

House Republican leaders drafted legislation on Thursday that rejects calls for withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq as "fundamentally inconsistent with achieving victory" and said they would force a vote on Friday.

It would be the second time in five weeks that GOP leaders maneuvered for a vote on the war in the face of Democratic calls for a timetable for withdrawal.

The resolution expresses the commitment of the House "to achieving victory in Iraq."

It'll be interesting to see who votes against it.

Not so interesting when it's you in the minority, is it Putz?
