RUTHLESSLY MOCKING GLENN REYNOLDS AND OTHER PUTZEN SINCE 2006. HEHINDEEDY!

Glibertarianism strikes again.
I'd love to see some serious environmental writer do a post on what good things might come from global warming. Surely there must be some.

Google "global warming winners and losers" and give Megan credit for recognizing that none of these bozos were worth listening to, or even really worth recalling the existence of.
No, no - she's right! Don't forget that the Titanic disaster resulted in better lifeboat provision on liners, and the Indian Ocean Tsunami of a few years back resulted in better ocean monitoring, and the Krakatau explosion resulted in better monitoring of volcanoes (OK, I'm making this up, but it could have, and after all, this is Our Megan we're talking about - who needs facts when you have opinions?). Sure the positive effects largely came later, although the Titanic passengers got a refreshing swim in the ocean and some of them became famous - isn't that a positive? You people are just such Negative Nellies about this. It's Global Warming, after all - that should make the winters on the Vineyard very nice and balmy, and open up whole new tourist areas in the Antarctic, right? Always look on the bright side of life!
Yes, Megs. You'll be scorched off the earth like an ant under a magnifying glass. Happy, you fuck wit?
ReplyDeleteAww, you beat me to it.
ReplyDeleteRemember, if oil companies' profits increase when the polar caps melt, it's worth all the human loss of life.
As species over the globe go extinct, and the human race withers away, those left will have so much to blog about.
ReplyDeleteSummer on the beach in Antarctica will be absolutely delightful, at least for a few years.
ReplyDeleteOne good result would be that denialists would finally admit they were wrong. Oh, who am I kidding?

ReplyDeleteYeah, Gr*gg East*rbr**k. Remember him?
ReplyDeleteHere's one, McMegan: the mystery of the collapse of human civilization will provide endless jobs for future generations of alien archaeologists.
