Presser fail.

I watched the Obama presser on C-Span, and I don't know if he was tired or what the deal was, but he looked and sounded totally out of it. He was delivering his remarks like he didn't want to be there, and saying limply that Congress (without mentioning the GOP) should pass his jobs bill -- but it seemed he didn't really believe what he was saying.

There was absolutely no sense of urgency about doing something now for the millions of people who were out of work, and there was no sense of outrage that the reason is the GOP's obstructionism.

Obviously the GOP is taking this remark out of context, but he would've never made it if he had been on his A-game today.

UPDATE

Yeah.
“Listen, it is absolutely clear the economy is not doing fine,” he said. He suggested that Republicans had misstated his words from earlier in the day.

“I think if you look at what I said this morning, what I’ve been saying consistently over the last year, we’ve actually seen some good momentum in the private sector,” he said. “There’s been 4.3 million jobs created, 800,000 this year alone, record corporate profits.”
Totally off his game. Not sure what the point of the press conference was. If this is the new "Give 'Em Hell, Harry"/1948 approach, there wasn't a hell of a lot of hell.
