The public relations representatives of our defense industry (better known as the media) engage in some motivated pant-shitting over the fact that OMG THE CHINAMEN ARE SORTA CLOSE TO DEVELOPING A FIGHTER JET THAT LOOKS KINDA LIKE ONE THAT HAS ADVANCED STEALTH TECHNOLOGY WE PERFECTED 15 YEARS AGO DURING F-22 DEVELOPMENT!!!!!
Wouldn't it be particularly unwise to cut defense spending in light of such an obvious threat? I mean, conspicuously placing the alleged stealth fighter out on a runway where it could be photographed clearly means that the Chinese are presenting a direct threat to our military superiority.
Does Boeing pay ad rates for stories like this?
