the emerging belief among many establishment Republicans that Pawlenty is becoming the sole viable alternative to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a potential Republican primary rival.
Politico, says Althouse, is "disrespecting Sarah."
It's amusing as hell when wingnuts, but particularly this one -- who makes a real show of being a hard-ass -- presume to be on a first-name basis with a politician.
Palin, I'm pretty sure, couldn't pick Althouse out of a line-up of bleached-blonde drunks.
Second -- perhaps explaining Althouse's odd defensive crouch -- it's telling that a banal, unsurprising observation (that Palin is a circus act, not a candidate for President) is taken as a slight.
It's almost as if, for Althouse, every day is September 3, 2008 and Palin's rep remains intact.
