A couple of weeks ago, The Washington Post blew ran a puff piece of Brian Brown, executive director of the National Organization for Marriage.

It was shit, and the reporter, Monica Hesse, was rightfully thrashed.

Anyhoo, Rod Dreher, asshole, in the course of lamenting the terribly uncivil tenor of the criticism lobbed at Hesse, writes:

It's one reason I have a gun in the house.

Jesus Christ!

Look, I don't doubt Rod has a gun. Surely, though, the specter of Andrew Sullivan lobbing a grenade into the Dreher mud room is not the reason why.
