Regarding September 11, 2001 (Or, as Glenn Reynolds Prefers to Think of it, "That Time Christmas Came Early")

If y'all don't mind, there will be no Putz-related posting outta me today. Last night I saw the lights -- more than enough of a reminder of what happened eight years ago -- so I don't need the agita.

However, it's probably worth recalling what Putz wrote in the aftermath of the attacks. The last line ought to be his epitaph:

GEORGE BUSH IS NOW THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN THE WORLD: People always say that about Presidents, of course, but usually it's only notionally true. Now, if he wants to nuke Baghdad, there is nobody to say him nay -- and damned few who would want to. That's a danger if he goes off half-cocked, but I don't think there's much risk of that.
