A Gallup poll asked American adults to name the GOP's leader or "main person who speaks for the party." The responses, in descending order of popularity, are:
52% Don't Know
13% Rush Limbaugh
10% Dick Cheney
6% Newt Gingrich
6% John McCain
Two things. First of all, wither the great Savior from Alaska? Second, HOLY FUCK. That list is the saddest thing I've ever seen, and I've watched an orphanage burn down. I wonder which is more depressing for the GOP: that half of America can't name anyone or the batch of fossils, lunatics, and fossilized lunatics who were named.
