Palin's Newser [Byron York]
Greetings from Miami, where Sarah Palin has just finished a news conference. It wasn't much of one. She took four questions and spoke for a little under seven minutes, leaving everyone pretty amazed at the brevity of it all. She didn't say anything of great import, but appeared uninterested in talking about the McCain campaign. "You guys in the media are wanting to dissect the past," she said. "As far as we're concerned, the past is the past."
My guess is that the media oversaturation is a big mistake. She's not a bag of Pringles -- people will get tired of her, even Lopez. Byron York is halfway there already.
When you get down to it, Sarah Palin isn't much more than Joe the Plumber writ large. Which means that now is a great time to dredge up this Mickey Kaus quote from October 2, just after the veep debate:
Big loser, again, is Hillary. In two years Palin will be so much better she won't even be in the same league. ...
