Glenn Reynolds and "small government."

Hilarious.
Meanwhile, instead of moping that "we blew it," I'd encourage Republicans and others on the right to look to the future and figure out how to advance the cause of small government and liberty.
Leaving aside that Republicans have created the biggest government in our history, and Putz went merrily along, "small government and liberty" is what the GOP ran on in '06 and '08 -- and they lost.

And they lost because "small government" doesn't address the generational problems we face. It doesn't solve the climate crisis, it doesn't resolve two losing wars or the financial crisis, it doesn't get us an upgraded infrastructure for the 21st century, it doesn't do anything about healthcare, and it doesn't solve the energy problem.

That Putz doesn't seem to understand this is astonishing. But I hope Republicans keep running around talking about lower taxes and smaller government.

It's a sure winner. For Democrats.
