Stimulus Payment.

There was an envelope from the federal government in my mailbox yesterday. On the outside of the envelope was a mention of the "stimulus payment" I've heard so much about.

I eagerly tore it open and yelled, "At least! I can buy 18-year Jameson!"

But no. It was a letter, sans check, informing me that I would receive the check on June 27.

In four days.

Yes, my government is that goddamn inefficient.
