Is there any doubt that if, say, Senator Obama had claimed to be "under sniper fire" and, um, wasn't, his detractors would hold this up as evidence of his unelectibility?

Frankly, this story doesn't change the way I feel about Senator Clinton -- I like her. I'm pretty sure, though, that this anecdote would've given Larry Johnson Taylor Marsh Howard Wolfson a 90-day erection. The evident double standard and radio silence is a tad aggravating.

And heckfire, so long as I'm asking questions: where's Putz on all this? He made quite a bit of hay when John Kerry's memory got cloudy.
