"...By His Beagle."

Set aside the hilarity of Mickey Kaus using Andrew Sullivan to bolster his argument -- funny! -- and consider this curio: his assertion that Sullivan's Atlantic Obama opus was "widely applauded."

By whom?

Not Wonkette! "Congrats, Andy! And way to be modest and not horribly self-indulgent." Or Oliver Willis or Ezra Klein, who called it "a stunningly bad piece of work." And both those guys are Obama fans. So ouch.

I'm sure there are exceptions. But if memory serves this piece was ridiculed, flayed and sautéed.

Shit, even Sullivan's officemate didn't seem to like it much. Can you say 'contractually-obligated mention'?
