if Iraq were to settle down, and then a decade passes and we look back and even our most severe critics cannot deny that Iraq is a better place, a generation of Iraq’s most important leaders would have deep personal bonds with their counterparts in America and Great Britain. This could actually happen. That's nice. Problem is, Michael Yon has been painting rosy scenarios since the war began. Last May, during which time at least 126 Americans died -- casualty-wise, the second-worst month of the entire war -- Yon had the audacity to complain that, for him, Iraq was 'boring.'
Michael Yon is nothing more than The Boy Who Didn't Cry Wolf. He says the wolf's gone, who why should anyone believe him?
