John McCain, contra the rest of the GOP field, actually has blood coursing through his veins and not, like Mssrs. Romney and Giuliani, acid. (I'll allow that Rudy might, but if anything it's the blood of dead New Yorkers.) As has been noted elsewhere, this exchange, between McCain and a decrepit gentleman considering suicide, pretty much says it all.
As you might gather, I don't want McCain within 500 miles of the presidency, so this praise hardly qualifies as an endorsement. But as one TNR commenter observed, "Rudy would have probably said if he were in England he would be dead by now."
McCain is distinctly the lesser of the evils.
