First, Putz huffed that brilliant Iraqi blogger Riverbend "still hasn't commented on Saddam's capture. ... How odd." Then, he hehindeeded the notion that Riverbend "hates everything," as if she weren't perfectly with her rights. Lastly, in late 2004, he endorsed Michael Totten's assertion that Riverbend was "anti-American." (As if we've given her one goddamn reason to be otherwise!)

Putz-pal and S,N! photoshop target Dafydd ab Hugh was less decorous, describing Riverbend as "a privileged and pampered princess who was almost assuredly from a Ba'athist family."

Well, Putz et al., have it your way. Riverbend has gone to Syria and the world has lost, presumably forever, an eloquent voice on the ground in Iraq.
