No.

Curious line from AP Reuters:

CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush, faced with growing calls to start withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq, pleaded with Americans on Saturday for patience and cited progress in the past two months.

"Pleaded"? Methinks not. One pleads only out of fear of retribution. Knife to the throat, that kind of thing. Bush, whose constituency -- America -- hates him, is lucky to work with a Congress that rolls over like beagles, passing whatever legislation he likes.

What's to fear?

What AP Reuters heard, but did not recognize, is called "contempt."
