The big difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Here's Rudy! in Houston yesterday:
Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani called Democrats "the party of losers" for demanding a scheduled pullout of American troops from Iraq.

"Democrats have already declared we've lost," the former New York mayor said during a campaign stop at a Houston diner. "It's really strange. The Democrats want to give our enemies a timetable. Never in history of war has a retreating army been asked to give a timetable.

"I'm for victory," Giuliani said. Democrats, he said, are "living in a world where they refuse to admit the existence of Islamic terrorism."

If the roles were reversed and the Republicans were running against a Democrat had been asleep at the wheel while we suffered the worst attack on our soil in history, who was losing two wars, and had not only failed to capture and kill the enemies who attacked us on 9/11, but made them stronger, do you think they'd be offering detailed plans about how to get out of it? No -- they'd go right after them.

I want our candidates to start bringing the fight to these people. How about some of this?
The Republicans are an absolute disgrace. They've brought us to the brink of losing Afghanistan and Iraq. They're losing two wars -- two wars! We've got the greatest armed forces in the history world and this Republican President can't subdue two third-rate countries? It's a national disgrace.

You can't trust them with our national security. They haven't caught or killed the guy responsible for 9/11 -- after 6 years. They haven't secured victory against the Taliban or al Qaeda -- after 6 years. They've made Iran the most powerful nation in the Middle East. They've made the Taliban and al Qaeda stronger. Our enemies are laughing in our face, thanks to the GOP. We've got to clean up the mess they've made.
