Putz: Andrew Sullivan is a pathetic liar!

When Putz is attacked held to account for his radical views (see his response to Paul Campos), he responds with hysterical ad hominems: (updated below)
I've tried, honestly, not to get in these pissing matches with Andrew, but apparently he can't help himself with this stuff. But to be clear: I'm against torture. I'm also against moralistic, dishonest, self-righteous preening about torture. Andrew is a repeat offender in the latter category, and it's gone beyond embarrassing to pathetic.

Various people in and out of the blogosphere have wondered exactly when, how, and why Andrew lost it. But lost it he has.

So Putz is "against torture" but refuses to hold anyone in the Bush Administration accountable for torturing, ever. He's "against torture" but never gave a passing mention about how enthusiastically the GOP candidates embraced torture in the debates. He's "against torture" but for years has ignored it while the party he supports embraces it. He's "against torture" but refuses to criticize the torturers. Instead, he attacks only those who criticize them.

Sullivan was kind to call him anti-anti-torture. He's just a dishonest partisan hack.

UPDATE

Sullivan responds.
I too don't want to get into a pissing match with Glenn Reynolds over torture since he claims his position is identical to mine. He's just much more "sensible" about these things. The sensible position against torture is to say you're against it, vote for and support the first administration in history that has legalized it, and then devote all your energies to minimizing or ignoring what they have done.
Andrew is being too kind. "Support"? More like shill for.
But here's a question that springs from Glenn's public stance against any coercive interrogation that involves pain or injury (if you search the archives long enough, you'll find it). Why would someone who is genuinely against torture, as defined by the law, spend more time mocking, attacking and criticizing the opponents of torture than criticizing the torture itself?
Sullivan should know by now that this is exactly the same tactic Putz takes on global warming and a host of other issues. If it's a pet issue on "the left," or a criticism of the Bush administration, it must be mocked, taken down, marginalized. Not complicated.
