Now that America hates him, Bush isn't a real "conservative."

Expect to see a lot more of this revisionism from Putz and the far-right as we get closer to '08:

If he joins the race for the Republican nomination, and if he campaigns the same way he spoke to me last week, Fred Thompson, a mild-mannered, slow-talking southern gentleman, will run as the politically aggressive conservative that George W. Bush hasn't been for four years.
Sorry, wingers. I know it totally sucks for you now, but you branded Bush the Great Republican Leader and Heir to Reagan in '00 and '04 and you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube in '08. Maybe not even in '12. You chose...poorly.
