Not Just a Dem Problem, Putz

Putz:

AN IMUS PROBLEM FOR THE DEMOCRATS?

Equally important, Imus gave Democrats a pipeline to a crucial voting bloc that was perennially hard for them to reach: politically independent white men.

With Imus' show canceled indefinitely because of his remarks about the Rutgers University women's basketball team, some Democratic strategists are worried about how to fill the void. For a national radio audience of white men, Democrats see few if any alternatives.

Such as it is, this is a bipartisan problem. Off the top of my head, here are some Republicans who happily went on the show: Rick Santorum (an untold amount of times), Mary Matalin (ditto), Dick Cheney, Chris Wallace, George Allen, Pat Buchanan, Bill O'Reilly, Joe Lieberman...

The list is pretty endless.

Besides, I was told that the media has a liberal bent (or, in the Putz parlance, "on the other side"). So why should the Dem's care about the loss of a single outlet?
