How come the Left doesn’t support the Iranians’ desire to be free? I think the answer is pretty obvious: because the Left has made the United States, Israel, and George Bush their prime enemies, and they defend all the tyrants who threaten these enemies.

When the wingnuts say "the Left" what they really mean is "everyone to the left of us," which includes the left, the center, the moderate right and the right. What Ledeen means by "support" of the Iranians' "desire to be free," of course, is regime change in Iran by military force, a policy that's only supported by fringe right wingnuts like Ledeen.

So given that Condi is appeasing meeting with the Iranians, this makes her a proud member of "the Left."
