Misquoting Bayh.

What Putz says Evan Bayh said:

EVAN BAYH: "Democrats can't be 'bunch of wimps' on terror.'"

What Bayh actually said:

"I'm concerned that we not come across as whiners and that kind of thing, like a bunch of wimps who say mean old Karl Rove is on us again," said Bayh. "We've got to say look, we're speaking out because we're concerned the administration is undermining our security, their competence and their priorities have been wrong."

Putz made it sound as though Bayh was criticizing the Democrats' stated policies and positions on terrorism, which he decidedly was not. In fact, the opposite is true -- he was pointedly criticizing Bush and the Republicans.
